At the YMCA, we know that success begins our littlest children!
Parent+Child classes help parents and children bond through play, provides opportunities for networking for parents, and engages children in activities that help in gross and fine motor development.
Preschool classes allow children to learn skills, practice social learning, and gain independence through guided and supportive activities.
All Parent+Child programs are free for participants
with a Household YMCA Membership.

Preschool Swim Lessons
The focus of this class is to achieve competency by mastering two benchmark skills in Swim Basics. The first is swim-float-swim, where students will successfully sequence from a front glide and roll to a back float and roll, do another front glide, then exit. The second benchmark is jump-push-turn-grab. The student’s developmental levels determine which skills we introduce and build on as they progress.
