Afterschool Care Program

  afterschool1  childcare1

For $7.00 a Day (membership rate), the YMCA of Southeast Texas afterschool program provides a safe, supportive environment for your child. The YMCA provides experiences to develop and nurture self-esteem in an inclusive environment. Activities may include homework time, snack time, games, arts & crafts, indoor and/or outdoor play and occasional field trips. The YMCA develops character by teaching and demonstrating values. We use positive adult role models to teach the four basic values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

Qualified Staff

The YMCA child care staff must complete 15 hours of training annually. They are also CPR and First Aid certified. Satisfactory background checks are required prior to employment for all staff. The YMCA program operates on a 1:15 staff to student ratio.
